Pimp C funeral - Reality sets in...
-To everything there is a purpose
Death has a way of bringing us back to reality we are at best frail, very frail.
We are sure we have life "by the horns",but then in the least expected moment...
it changes forever.

Pimp C funeral ,Murder Refused and will not be going
A Louisiana judge has denied a request by rapper Cory 'C-Murder' Miller to attend the funeral of UGK hip hopper Chad 'Pimp C' Butler which, as previously reported, will take place later today.
As much previously reported, Miller is accused of shooting dead teenager Steve Thomas outside a nightclub in 2002. He was found guilty of the killing and jailed, but the original conviction was overturned after a judge ruled prosecutors were wrong to not reveal the criminal backgrounds of certain witnesses key to their case against Miller.

Two days after His death Pimp C is nominated for Grammy
Butler and partner Bernard "Bun B" Freeman, who performed together as UGK (Underground Kingz), were nominated for their collaboration with hip-hop duo OutKast on the tune "Int'l Players Anthem (I Choose You)."
The recording will compete in the rap performance by a duo or group category with tracks from Common featuring Kanye West, Fat Joe featuring Lil Wayne, Shop Boyz, and a partnership among West, Nas and KRS-One.
"While this nomination is bittersweet to say the least, I am thankful for the acknowledgment," Freeman said in a statement. "And as this was a lifelong dream for Chad, it warms my heart to know that he has finally gotten the recognition from the powers that be that his talent, passion and relentless drive for music so rightfully deserved."

My Boy,was PIMP C
He was in an extra good mood. We spoke on Sunday. I was still in L.A. We talked about gettin' up, you know, later. He was going to the Mac Store. He was excited about it. You know how everybody always gets excited about a damn Mac Store. We never did hook back up, though. He wasn't with me on Sunday, or Monday. Pimp C was my boy. We go back to the early '90s.
What has the world lost with Pimp C's death?
If you think about pioneers who impacted rap... like I did in Oakland, like Biggie did in New York, [Pimp] did that to the whole South. The rest of the world didn't get to know that, to understand that. People didn't properly get into UGK until 2000's "Big Pimpin'." They was doin' stuff way before that. That's why Jay went to get them. Jay keeps an open mind. Not like I only listen to this or that because it's from where I'm from.

Pimp C Dead
Pimp C Found Dead At 33
Pimp C, one of the trailblazers in the world of Southern hip hop, was found dead today at age 33. The cause of death is not yet known.
“It is with great regret that I must confirm that Chad Butler aka Pimp C, one half of the legendary UGK, was in fact discovered dead this morning,” said Nancy Byron, his publicist.
“Manager Rick Martin is asking that everyone please respect his family and those close to him at this time and refrain from rumors and innuendo.”
Pimp C was a member of UGK, who was best known for their hit single “Big Pimpin” with Jay-Z.
“We mourn the unexpected loss of Chad,” lamented Jive Records’ President and CEO Barry Weiss. “He was truly a thoughtful and kind-hearted person. He will be remembered for his talent and profound influence as a pioneer in bringing southern rap to the forefront. He will be missed and our prayers remain with his family and Bun B. I’ve known Chad since he was 18, and we loved him dearly and he was a cherished member of the Jive family.”
The Los Angeles County Fire department found the deceased rapper after responding to a 911 call.
